Pool Rules and Key Card Requests

To request a pool access key card, please read and confirm your acceptance of these pool area rules, which are essential to our compliance with state and county health regulations. Please also review the CC&Rs, which also apply. These rules were last updated August 6, 2023, and the page was last reviewed on June 4, 2026.

PARKVIEW RECREATION ASSOCIATION POOL AND CLUBHOUSE RULES and REGULATIONS

THE POOL AND CLUBHOUSE HOURS: 6:00AM TO 10:00PM DAILY

The Recreation and Pool Area is a common area for our collective enjoyment. Please use the area and facilities responsibly and treat this area as if it is part of your own home and always ready for the next person to enjoy. The pool is subject to all applicable rules under California and Marin County laws.

USE OF THE POOL IS RESTRICTED TO OWNERS, TENANTS AND THEIR GUESTS

The Recreation and Pool Area is private and may be used only by Parkview Recreation Association (PVRA) owners or authorized tenants, their families or guests.

MINORS

Children under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult member of the PVRA. Children under age 16 may not use the sauna unless accompanied by a parent.

TENANTS

Tenants are authorized to use the facilities only if the owner has, in writing, specifically authorized tenants to do so, has relinquished his or her own right to use the facilities and agrees to accept financial responsibility for any and all damage caused by such tenants, their families and guests. Such notice must be filed with the Property Manager in advance of tenants’ pool use and renewed annually.

GUESTS

Guests must be accompanied by a member of the PVRA at all times when using the facilities. More than four guests at one time must be approved through the reservation procedure.

RESPONSIBILITY

Members are responsible for their behavior and that of their family and guests. Anyone violating regulations or causing a nuisance or damage may have their Recreation and Pool Area privileges suspended by the Board of Directors and may be held liable for any damages that result from their actions.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

All use of the Recreation and Pool Area is Pool area is at the user’s risk and without recourse against the Association. There is no lifeguard, and using the pool or sauna alone is unsafe. All users agree to adhere to all posted rules.

HYGIENE

Shower before using the pool, wash your hands after using the toilet or changing diapers, and refrain from using the pool if you have an open wound, are wearing bandages, have diarrhea or any communicable disease, unless your physician certifies that you do not present a risk to other users. Please clean up after yourself, leaving the area ready for others to enjoy.

SMOKING

 

Smoking or use of any smoking materials is not permitted within the Recreation and Pool Area or anywhere on Parkview property. 

ACCESS BY KEY CARDS

Pool cards have a six- or seven-digit ID number. Please provide the number of any card in your possession if requesting new cards or reactivation.

Access to the pool area is by code or keycard only. One card has been distributed to each owner. A second card may be obtained by request to the property manager. There is a charge for replacement cards of $35.00. Please send requests to the property manager.

GATES AND CLUBHOUSE

Gate must be locked: The gate to the Recreation and Pool Area must be locked at all times except during official homeowners’ meetings. The gate may never be propped open.

Members who are hosting parties or other events must make arrangements to let their guests in through the locked gate. All persons must ensure the gate is locked when they leave.

PARKING

Parking for the pool is on Pixley Avenue or in the cul-de-sac. The parking area of Lot 5, adjacent to the Pool Area, is only for residents of Lot 5 members and their guests. No parking, temporary or otherwise, is allowed in the Lot 5 parking lot. Please unload passengers and items from the cul-de-sac walkway.

GLASS

No bottles or glass of any kind may be used except in the Recreation Room or the immediate barbecue area.

PETS

California law prohibits animals in the pool area. Please contact the Property Manager if you have any questions. 

PRIVATE EVENTS & RESERVATION PROCEDURE

The Recreation Room may be reserved by owners or authorized tenants for parties up to 25 people on a first-come, first-served basis. Make reservations through the Property Manager. 

POST-EVENT CLEANING

The room, including the refrigerator, must be returned to a clean and orderly condition promptly. The party host will be assessed charges for any cleaning the Pool Committee deems necessary.

GRILLS

Any grill, burners or open-flame cooking devices shall not be operated within 10 feet of a combustible construction or surface. This includes the buildings, overhangs and pergolas. Please keep cooking areas clean after each use. Notify the Property Manager/Board of Directors about any issues or damages.

PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

The Parkview Terrace Facilities may not be used for any for-profit or fundraising purposes, or for any fraternal, religious, improvement or motivated social group. The Recreation Room is not to be used as a workshop.

MISCELLANEOUS 

  • Personal belongings may not be stored in the recreation and pool area.
  • Do not remove furniture or other equipment.
  • Close umbrellas when leaving.
  • Children are asked to make room in the pool for lap swimmers, if any are present

‌NOTE THE FOLLOWING REMINDERS ABOUT STATE LAW COMPLIANCE

  • Adult supervision must be physically present whenever children under age 14 are in or near the pool or clubhouse 
  • Guests under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult Parkview member.
  • Parents must accompany minors in the sauna. No minors permitted in saunas without a parent. 
  • No rough-housing, inebriation and other activities that may cause injuries. 
  • No sexual activity in or around the pool and clubhouse.
  • Wear bathing suits or other appropriate clothing. No nudity. 
  • No scuba diving or swimming lessons.
  • No loud noises, yelling or other sounds that are likely to disturb neighbors. 
  • No pets or animals anywhere in the pool and recreation area (this is a State Health Code requirement.)

VIOLATIONS

  • If you see someone violating these rules, please tell them.
  • If they persist, please contact a member of the Board of Directors or the Property Manager.
  • Complaints may be filed in writing with the Property Manager and the Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors has the right to suspend Recreation and Pool Area privileges of anyone violating these rules and regulations and hold those persons liable for any damages or costs incurred because of their actions.

Please call 911 if there is a life-threatening situation. Do not request emergency services unless immediate action is required. Please also notify the board ([email protected]) or a member of the Pool Committee.

By signing below, I acknowledge these rules and other applicable provisions of the Parkview governing documents. I accept responsibility for compliance on behalf of myself and any co-owners, residents, or tenants of my unit. I will not share my key card with anyone other than occupants of my unit.
